We’ve had summer staff come from the United States and all over the world (see map). We partner with J-1 VISA international placement organizations, like CCUSA & Odyssey, who bring international staff members to the United States. If you are interested in coming to Camp Sonshine through one of these programs, we’re happy to help in whatever way possible!
1 – Prepare For The Journey!
Consider costs of J-1 VISA process and airplane ticket to the U.S. You also will want to have some cash in hand when you get here before you recieve your first paycheck.
2 – Apply + Interview With Us!
Once you apply, our interview process will help you discern if we’re the right fit for your U.S. camp experience!
3 – We’ll Connect You With A J-1 Sponsor!
We use CCUSA & Odyssey – organizations that will help you through the process of applying for a J-1 VISA!
I work with kids in my home country of Tanzania. The experience I received at Camp Sonshine has given me SO MANY tools that I will be taking back with me to further support the kids I work with. I’m so grateful for this experience and for the people at Camp Sonshine for being a place that UNLOCKS & UNLEASHES kingdom builders!
