No matter which program your camper attends, every Camp Sonshine experience is built around our Three Uniques, the foundation of everything we do:
Active Supervision – Our well-trained staff are engaged, attentive, and present all day long. Campers are cared for intentionally, helping families feel confident their children are safe, supported, and known.
Active Imagination – From creative play to outdoor adventure, campers are encouraged to explore, try new things, and engage their imagination in ways that build confidence and joy.
Active Community – Campers are placed in small groups led by caring counselors who prioritize relationships—helping kids build friendships, feel a sense of belonging, and grow socially and spiritually.
A Program for Every Camper
Camp Sonshine offers a variety of programs designed to meet campers where they are:
- Day Camps – Full days packed with classic camp activities and outdoor fun, with the convenience of heading home each evening. Two locations near Roca and one near Firth, Nebraska!
- Overnight Camps – Immersive experiences where campers build independence, community, and lifelong memories away from home. Location near Firth, Nebraska!
- Leadership Programs (LIT) – Hands-on leadership development for older campers who want to grow in responsibility and service
Each program is thoughtfully tailored by age group, ensuring campers are challenged, encouraged, and supported at every stage.
NEW This Summer: Solaris Day Camp Near Firth
We’re especially excited to introduce our NEW Day Camp program called “Trek” at Camp Sonshine – Solaris, located near Firth, Nebraska. This program is a great option for families in Gage County and the Beatrice area who want the Camp Sonshine experience closer to home.
Solaris Day Camp offers:
- Full-day programming for elementary-aged campers (entering 1st – 6th and an Leader in Training program for 7th – 8th)
- Classic camp activities, outdoor adventure, and faith-filled moments
- A welcoming, Christ-centered environment
- A FREE bus stop in Beatrice for added convenience
It’s the perfect blend of adventure, structure, and flexibility for families new to camp or looking for a local option.
