Join Us for our “Barn Raising” Celebration
On Sunday, April 28th we invite you to join us for an afternoon of celebrating God’s faithfulness in providing for Camp Sonshine’s new recreation facility. We will be giving tours of this exciting facility and sharing our vision for how it will be used to impact countless lives in the coming decades. Come anytime between 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
At the event you will also have the opportunity to purchase blank bathroom tiles to paint and decorate. The tiles will be used to finish the restrooms and will be on display for generations to come. Don’t miss this limited time opportunity to become a part of Camp Sonshine history!!!

Could you tell me more about the horse camp for the 4-5th graders? Do we still drop everyone off at Camp Sonshine and they are transported from there or do we also need to get our child to Hickman?

Great question. Nothing will change for you on your end. You will still drop off at camp in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. We’ll be arranging transportation to and from the horse ranch in Hickman.

Camp Sonshine is one of the BEST investments a parent or grandparent can make in a child they love. In today’s world of instant access, instant gratification, and instant results, it’s tough to counteract all the mixed messages our children are exposed to. Camp Sonshine is a “refreshing” experience not only for the kids that attend, but for the adults that send them there. Camp Sonshine’s staff is exceptional. The most loving, caring, attentive people you could hope to leave your child with. The positive impact the camp plays in each child’s life is priceless.
Our twin 10-year-old granddaughters only had one complaint after attending Camp Sonshine – “that they couldn’t go year-around”!

Camp Sonshine has made such a difference in my sons life and mine. I am a single parent and sometimes struggle with who and where my son will be the best taken care of. Camp Sonshine has been his shining star. He thrives and learns so much. I don’t always have the time to teach him the blessings that camp has to teach. He looks forward to everything camp “everything” Sonshine has to offer. Even the New Years party…. he still can’t speak enough about it. Jeff and Trisha are such fab people that they should be famous. I would also like to mention all the fab people that help them make it work. SNAPPS to everyone for making the difference these kids really, are thirsty for.
We love camp Sonshine. This is our 3rd summer of attending most sessions. My daughter has just grown so much from her time at camp. She came to Camp Sonshine as a shy little girl and this year she participated in the extra enrichment theatre program. I couldn’t believe she was on stage in front of 150 people performing. Miracles happen at Camp Sonshine…….I feel blessed to have found this Son Kissed Place on Earth.

My kids attended Camp Sonshine last year and are finishing up their week of camp this week. They have had a blast and think that everyone at Camp Sonshine are fantastic! It is great to know when I drop them off that they are well taken care of. Their only complaint is that I come too early to pick them up each day and they beg me to be one of the last Moms for pickup. Thanks to the staff for all of your hard work and caring attitudes. Well, I sure was impressed this summer, when we experienced Camp Sonshine for the first (and not last) time. BUT…I don’t even have the words to express what I think of the camp and counselors now! Jorgen received the coolest DOB card from you! What a sweet and thoughtful idea. So unexpected to get, and yet another example of all the extra touches that make Camp Sonshine so special and personable! Thank-you!
