With our popular volunteer program and our NEW camp program, we are so excited to be offering a place for high school students to belong and grow summer! Here are the highlights of what we have to offer this group of amazing individuals:
Assistant Counselor
Serve, Connect & Grow
at Camp Sonshine
This is a volunteer position for high school students entering 10th – 12th grade or anyone who is not able to commit to a half or full summer contract. Assistant Counselors fulfill a variety of vitally important roles within camp, from helping with camper groups, leading scheduled activities, and working behind the scenes to help ensure campers are having the best experience possible. ACs are able to volunteer for one or more of the summer sessions that fit their schedule but must commit to the entire week.

- Regular Hours 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.,
- 7 a.m. Meetings with Camp Staff Everyday,
- Late Stay on Monday,
- Staff Worship on Tuesday,
- Overnighter on Friday Night,
- Bring the Family for Saturday Morning Pancake Breakfast!

High School Camp

For the first time ever, Camp Sonshine will be offering High School Program at Camp Solaris!
As responsibilities and stress rise for teens, we want to provide a place where they can escape normal life and experience the fun and space that camp gives before school starts again. Delivering an unforgettable combination of favorite camp activities, team challenges, community service and off-site field trips, High School Camp is sure to give your teen a positive and constructive community of peers to grow and serve with, while having the time of their life.
