Volunteers

Here at Camp Sonshine we LOVE our volunteers! When someone asks how they can serve at Camp Sonshine we like to ask them, “What do you like to do? I’m sure we can find a way that you can do that at Camp Sonshine!” Here are some of the ways people have used their gifts and talents here in the past.

Building – From building shelves for storage, shelter for the pony, or putting up a tipi there is ways to use your handy work at Camp.
Cooking – Our counselors work hard all day so the ladies who make home-cooked meals for our counselors at the end of the day are truly fueling the ministry of Camp Sonshine.
Baking – Nothing better than a homemade snacks or cookies in your lunch during a hot summer day.
Planting Flowers – Make camp beautiful!
Landscaping – All year long there is yard work to do from raking, watering flowers or mowing.
Nana’s Snack Shack – Calling ALL Nanas – sign up early to get a spot being in the camp store / snack shack. Campers LOVE seeing “their nana” in the snack shack!
Host Homes – Our counselors work long hard days  – provide a much needed place to rest and be refreshed!
Assistant Counselors – High school students or young adults who are interested in helping with a group of campers or leading an activity are encouraged to apply for one of our popular Assistant Counselor volunteer positions. Check out our Assistant Counselor Page for more information on how to apply for this great opportunity.
