Now that we’ve completed paying off the barn and pool, you may be wondering “what’s next?” We are excited to announce the plans we have for our overnight site, Camp Solaris!
We have started construction of a brand-new, one-of-a-kind Aerial Park. This 30-foot high challenge course will come with over a dozen team and individual challenges for our campers to explore and conquer. A variety of elements await participants of all experiences and abilities.
Not only are we building a new Aerial Park, we are currently in the process of dredging the north end of our Camp Solaris pond to create a more user friendly experience for a variety of water activities, as well as a new location for groups to gather in a natural outdoor setting by the water.

How Can I Help?

One of the ways by which we are able to keep camp costs low for families is through financial contributions from a network of camp supporters. Here are just a couple of ways you can help do just that:

Climb and Dine Fundraiser
May 9 or 12
6 to 8 p.m.
$20 per person ($50 family max)
Bring the whole family and be among the first to climb the course and take a ride on the zip line! You’ll also get a tour and listen to the dreams that Camp Sonshine has for its Camp Solaris.

Give to Lincoln Day
May 18 (Start Giving May 1)
Give to Lincoln Day will help us in reaching our goal to raise $100,000. We have the chance to win part of a $350,000 matching grant from the Lincoln Community Foundation. In order for your gift to count toward matches, you can give any time starting May 1 to Thursday, May 18. Funds received on Give to Lincoln Day will go toward the Solaris Aerial Park & Pond Improvements.
