“Grab an old friend” and gather around the Camp Sonshine website to watch the Session Videos from 2011! Videos from all 8 sessions are available as well as the Teen Adventure Trip to Colorado at the end of the summer.

Summer enrollment for 2012 is in full swing and these videos make great recruitment tools as you invite your family and friends to join you at camp this summer. Feel free to forward the video links along to your friends and families as well as the links to the online registration form.

New Year’s Eve Overnighter

With all of the hustle and bustle of season don’t forget to take a minute to Register for the 2^nd Annual New Year’s Eve Overnighter. This will be an unforgettable night filled with the excellent programing and focused supervision you’ve come to expect from Camp Sonshine.

This event will be in the Youth Complex at Lincoln Berean Church. Activities will got from December 31 at 7:00pm until 10:00am on January 1^st.

This program is available for K-5^th grade campers and their friends, as well as 6^th-8^th graders who have previously served as an LIT (Leader In Training) during the summer.

Camper Reunion THIS SATURDAY

The Camper Reunion is this coming Saturday, September 24^th and will take place from 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Reconnect with camp friends and counselors from this past summer and bring some new friends to introduce to the wonderful world of Camp Sonshine! Campers who bring a totally brand new friend who has never signed up for camp before will receive a FREE “Future Staff” T-shirt.

Oh yea… Did we mention that campers will also be able to pick up their copy of this year’s “Session Video DVD”?!

The cost is $25/camper with a $50 maximum per family if registered by Wednesday, September 21. Guests having never attended camp before may be included in your family’s registration and can also count for your family max. (For Example: If you send 2 campers, they can each bring a friend for no additional cost.)

You can register online by logging into your summer camp account. Please contact Trisha in the office with any questions or if you need help registering.

One of the many joys of running a camp is that you quickly learn the importance of “Flexible Planning”. The unexpected can and often times does happen. Apparently our birthday party for Camp Sonshine tonight is no exception.

We just received a phone call from Star City Shores that due to a body fluid spill in the pool today, they are forced to close the pool as well as cancel our event for this evening. This is obviously a huge disruption to our envisioned plan for this evening however we have been working diligently on a solution.

We are very thrilled to announce that the Lincoln Racquet Club (on Old Cheney) has agreed to allow us to move our party tonight over to their indoor/outdoor swimming pool area from 8:30 – 10:30pm.

They are also going to allow us to use their indoor pool and gym.

Thanks so much for your flexibility and great attitude with changing plans. We look forward to still seeing you all tonight. Please join us in thanking the Lincoln Racquet Club staff and owners for their amazing service and assistance.
